TAIPEI, TAIWAN, May 27, 2013 – Amway’s new Experience Center in Thailand adopted CAYIN’s digital signage solutions to bring their brands to life for their consumers and stakeholders.
When Amway set out to build a modern new headquarters in Thailand in 2012, their plan was to build a state of the art 9,000 square meters Amway Experience Center which is the first of its kind in Asia. They wanted each of their core brands to be supported with integrated displays and multimedia and audiovisual capabilities.
Amway enlisted the expertise of DMaSSTech, CAYIN’s distributor in Thailand, to design and build the audiovisual infrastructure to support and deliver the rich product content that was critical to the Center’s success.
To address the advanced technology needs of the Experience Center, DMaSSTech chose an integrated suite of CAYIN Digital Signage Technology and completed the project successfully in March 2013. CAYIN’s devices with robust interactive and multimedia capabilities provided the ideal platform for Amway’s Experience Center.
DMaSSTech implemented 13 units of SMP-WEB4 and 20 units of SMP-200 digital signage players along with 33 units of 32 to 55 inch LCD screens. SMP-WEB4 brings Amway products and brands to life on demand as center visitors take guided tours. Members can access via touch screen more in-depth product information to gain a deeper understanding of the products’ features.
Amway wanted an environmentally friendly solution and they liked that SMP-200 consumes 50-100 times less power than a desktop PC. They also wanted to be able to turn on and off remote screens immediately when necessary and for other screens they wanted to conserve power by using a pre-set timer schedule.
Amway holds frequent seminars and lectures, and they are exploring ways to broadcast these talks to Experience Center visitors. The AV-in connector gives them the option of delivering real-time video directly to players. With the ability to show video from TV tuners, DVD players, USB cameras and more, SMP-WEB4 provides Amway with many possibilities for the future and for growth in event participation.
CAYIN’s Digital Signage platform enabled Amway to speed their time to market for the Experience Center. Amway was able to focus on creating engaging educational content knowing the audiovisual systems had the capabilities they required, while being easy to implement and maintain in their daily operations. Amway’s Experience Center has increased participation and brand engagement from members and distributors. CAYIN products play a critical role in fueling business growth for Amway Thailand.

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, January 3, 2013 – CAYIN Technology rolls out a new compact, lightweight digital signage player, SMP-200. It can be managed remotely via network or update content offline with a USB flash drive or an SD card. The player is also an energy saver, consuming less than 6W of energy.
SMP-200 is a compact but powerful digital signage player that can playback videos, images, music, and tickers in a maximum of seven zones and creates highly customized presentations. The small media player weights only 655g for users to facilitate installation in different venues.
Energy saving is also one of the key features of SMP-200. Equipped with an ARM processor, the player consumes less than 6W of power, which is approximately 50-100 times less than a desktop PC consumes.
“When it comes to long-term operation of digital signage networks, SMP-200 can greatly help users lower monthly electricity costs,” emphasized Ravel Chi, vice president of CAYIN Technology.
SMP-200 has powerful remote management and maintenance functions. Users can manage each player remotely by a web-based user interface via wired or wireless network. The player can even control RS232 devices and turn on and off remote screens.
“Remote control over a network is convenient and most welcomed,” said Ravel Chi. “However, we understand offline content update is also necessary especially in case of environments without any network access.”
SMP-200 provides both online and offline methods for content update. Multimedia content can be updated by USB flash drive, SD card, FTP, Network Neighborhood or CAYIN CMS server. Multiple choices are available to suit different applications and environments.
SMP-200 is compact and lightweight for easy installation. The whole package even includes a complimentary 3-in-1 bracket, supporting VESA 50, VESA 100, and the wall-mount capability. All users need to do is to attach the player to the back of a screen, plug in the power cord, and the player will turn on, completing the installation.
Like all other CAYIN SMP family players, SMP-200 can incorporate any CAYIN’s CMS servers and other SMP player models under the same digital signage network. This brand-new model provides users with a new choice for broader combinations fitting various application requirements and budgets.

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, August 28, 2012 – CAYIN’s digital signage players empower 26 LCD screens in Bread of Life Christian Church in Shilin, Taiwan. The new digital signage system helps the church to effectively communicate messages to congregations inside the church and also reach out to audiences outside the building.
Bread of Life Christian Church in Shilin is an active church with nearly 5000 members in Taiwan. To provide a better environment for increasing the number of members, the church has moved to a new building which can accommodate around 1000 people for all kinds of activities.
As the fellowship hall has become larger it has brought a disadvantage: - not all of the congregation can now see the pulpit. To get all of the members involved in the fellowship hall, the church adopted CAYIN’s digital signage system and installed a total of 16 units of 55” and 65” LCD screens throughout the fellowship hall, so that members in the back row can still see the pulpit clearly.
Not constrained by space, the church even broadcasts real-time services from the pulpit to other areas inside and even outside the building. People passing by the church can see live services on the 3x3 TV wall, which has been installed in the window facing outside. The TV wall, which is also controlled by CAYIN’s digital signage player, helps the church transmit messages to a wider audience in the community.
Using audio visual equipment in a church is not an entirely new thing. The unique part of this project is the perfect integration with digital signage and other existing AV, broadcast equipment. The administrator can switch between different signals immediately and show coherent content on all screens at the flow of the activity.
All live activities are broadcasted through CAYIN’s digital signage player. SMP-WEB4, equipped with the AV-in function, can receive signals from digital cameras at the stage and transmit real-time full-screen video to all landscape and portrait displays. CAYIN’s digital signage solution surely helps the church to manage information remotely and immediately and communicate messages in a simpler way.

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, June 26, 2012 – The new SABIC Academy in Riyadh utilizes CAYIN’s digital signage solutions to convey timely information throughout 38 LCD screens in the main entrance, meeting rooms, auditorium, and conference halls. Multiple state-of-the-art technologies were introduced to the new Academy to accomplish this smart building.
SABIC Academy is the new learning center of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation in Riyadh. The new academy has become the benchmark of education facilities in the Kingdom. CAYIN’s digital signage solution is introduced in this project by SMARTECH AV, CAYIN’s premium partners in Saudi Arabia, to replace old-fashioned bulletin boards and create a speedy digital information channel.
“This is the first learning center in Saudi Arabia to use this technology to manage all meeting rooms completely,” said Mr.Yousef Abdul Hadi Projects Manager of SMARTECH AV Co. “We are honored to be selected as the main partner to supply all AV and Digital Signage with room schedule systems for the first smart learning academy in Saudi Arabia.”
The new Academy contains 30 meeting rooms and hosts a wide variety of learning programs, including workshops, summits and training classes every day. Instead of using bulletin boards, SABIC deploys 17” LCD screens (Flush Mount) in the wall outside 30 meeting rooms, along with CAYIN’s digital signage solutions. The screen clearly indicates the meeting topic, start time, and duration of the meeting. Therefore, enrolled trainees can locate the correct class and meeting room easily.
Each screen connects to one CAYIN SMP-WEB4 digital signage player and is managed centrally via CAYIN’s meetingPost software. Equipped with a room booking system, meetingPost enables administrators to process online booking for meeting and banquet rooms.
Therefore, SABIC Academy can edit a meeting list for each meeting room in advance. For impromptu meetings or room changes, the administrator can also input meeting information remotely in the office without running back and forth in the building to change the post.
In addition to meeting rooms, SABIC Academy also installs three 51” LCD screens in the main entrance, two for the auditorium, and two for the multipurpose hall to increase the reach of the Academy’s public announcements. With the help of CAYIN lobbyPost software, SABIC can select a template, enter data, and immediately show high quality video, tickers, web pages, pictures, weather information, and even live TV programs from the satellite.
SABIC Academy is an important education facility for the nation to develop industry leaders in the petrochemical industry. World-class leaders and courses, accompanied by world-class learning facilities successfully enhance the level of education and training and add a new dimension to the advancement of the Kingdom.

CSN Wine & Spirits installed CAYIN’s digital signage solutions to empower the in-store screen media. This project was conducted and implemented by DeltaTech, CAYIN’s premium partners in Canada. The new digital screen network adds a modern touch to the traditional liquor store and conveys important information in a highly effective way.
As early adopters, nationwide chain stores and shopping malls have seen digital signage as a crucial in-store marketing tool to promote brands and products. Its proven performance has attracted the attention of CSN Wine & Spirits owner, Mr. Darcy Sandhu. He consulted DeltaTech, CAYIN’s channel partner in Canada, and started to use the cutting-edge digital technology to replace printing posters, and brought a modern touch to the traditional liquor store.
The digital signage player SMP-WEBDUO is installed in the manager’s office to control all six monitors. To maximize exposure, monitors are displayed throughout the whole 8000 sq ft store: one at the entrance, one in a wine room, one above cashiers, and three monitors forming a triangle in the middle of the store.
CSN has a selection of over 3,500 wines, spirits, liqueurs and specialty beers. Before installing the in-store digital signage, they had to print flyers and posters to promote their special offers. However, the display space is limited to printed materials, so only a few items can be added to the shortlist.
Right now, CSN uses digital signage not only to broadcast current promotions, but also introduce new brands or inform customers of future happenings, such as a schedule of the future wine tastings. Using digital signage not only conveys more information, but also saves printing costs.
“For fifteen years, we have been dedicated to introduce the best products to our customers with the highest level of service and expertise,” said Mr. Darcy Sandhu, General Manager of CSN Wine & Spirits. “We are very happy that we can now display important information and promotions in a highly effective way.”
SMP-WEBDUO features two signal outputs. With the help of two signal splitters, CSN can choose to broadcast the same content to all six players in clone mode, or divide all monitors into two groups; showing two different sets of contents in distinct mode. The great flexibility enables CSN to adjust presentations immediately through the media player’s user interface in accordance with their promotion plans.

CAYIN's digital signage players empower 22 LCD screens in the Glorietta and Greenbelt cinemas in the Philippines. This project was conducted and implemented by Mediacast Digital Group, CAYIN's certified reseller in the Philippines. The new digital screen network has livened up the environment and simultaneously simplified daily operation.
CAYIN digital signage players offer greater flexibility as compared to using a PC solution. In the past, the staff of a theater only used Microsoft Power Point to create contents and was limited to creating a simple layout without scheduling. With CAYIN's digital signage solution, administrators can easily create templates with multiple zones, such as multimedia, image slideshow, clock, ticker and Flash in one layout.
Each screen displays eye-catching movie information including: movie posters, movie trailers, synopses, approved movie rating, screening time, and other cinema promotions. The dynamic presentation accentuates attractiveness of each movie, arouses viewers' interests, and helps them make a decision on the movie selection.
"Powerful remote managerial functions are also essential to the success of this project," said Mr. Ravel Chi, Vice President of CAYIN Technology. Screens can always display up-to-date information of movies which are currently showing in these two theaters automatically based on the playlists and schedules. The whole digital screen network can be managed easily and largely simplifies daily operation.
To enhance customer experience, Ayala deploys seventeen displays in the cinema lobby and ticketing area. This modern and fashionable design elevates the corporate image as a cutting-edge technology adopter. In addition to the lobby and ticketing area of the cinema, screens were also installed at the concierge and entrance areas throughout the Ayala malls.
"All screens needed to match the overall design of the theater to project a unified image," said Mr. Eric Tang, General Manager of Mediacast. With this in mind, Ayala Cinemas used different ways which best suited the environment to install screens. This included embedding screens on the wall, designing an all-in-one screen stand and hanging screens against glass windows.
The new digital screen network has created a modern and stylish atmosphere and enhanced customer experience. It has also facilitated efficient management of the digital screen network and created a win-win situation for both moviegoers and the cinema owner.

CAYIN’s SMP-WEBPLUS digital signage players empower twenty-three LCD screens in Suvarnabhumi Airport, the biggest international airport in Thailand. The digital signage network has become one of the most influential channels to convey official announcements and commercial advertisements to visitors in Thailand.
As the “first face” to visitors to Thailand, Suvarnabhumi Airport is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient flow of people and goods and, at the same time, enhance the country’s image. Introduced by DMaSStech, CAYIN’s premium distributor in Thailand, CAYIN’s digital signage solution was adopted by the Airport for the system’s sophistication and well-established worldwide successful stories.
To maximize communication effectiveness, twenty-three screens have been installed at the most strategic spots where all travelers must pass through. Immigration officers will check travelers’ passports, so each person needs to wait in line for at least ten to thirty minutes, which largely increases the chance of being noticed. Those screens can also lower perceived wait time and enhance visitors’ satisfaction.
In the preliminary phase, all twenty-three screens display the same content. With the help of the player’s powerful remote management functions, administrators can set schedules in advance to playback multimedia contents automatically. Control rooms can also immediately change contents to suit the time of flight and the number of passengers subject to particular onsite circumstances.
“As a compelling media with more than 14 million viewers per year, the digital signage network has received great attention from business owners in Thailand,” said Mr. Sathian Thancharoenkit, Managing Director of DMaSStech. “It is definitely the effective marketing media for corporations, hotels, and restaurants to enhance brand images, highlight new products, introduce seasonal tourist attractions, and promote special offers.”

2010 OEC Taipei Ladies Open, the biggest tennis event in Taiwan, took place from October 30th to November 7th in Taipei Arena. To broadcast the most updated, exciting tennis match onto 300” LED screens, the organizer adopted CAYIN’s digital signage solution, incorporated with Heimavista’s sports game system as the main communication media within the arena.
The biggest highlight of this project is the perfect integration of CAYIN’s digital signage players and the cloud-based sports game system developed by Heimavista, CAYIN’s premium solution partner in Taiwan. CAYIN’s digital signage player features for its flexible platform, which can be integrated with application software, web servers and databases for different vertical markets. Altogether the combination creates an optimized digital signage solution.
The organizer set up two LED screens in Taipei Arena and each screen was connected to one CAYIN digital signage player. Authorized staff operated these media players via network and controlled the content playback on each LED screen as well.
All live scores and figures were collected and managed by Heimavista’s sports game system. Through CAYIN’s digital signage players, live sports data from Heimavista’s system was presented on the LED screens swiftly and faithfully.
It was not easy to know the precise time of each tennis game, so the operation of LED digital signage was under the command of a director, who was responsible for content arrangement based on the onsite situation. Due to the powerful remote managerial functions of CAYIN SMP-WEB4 digital signage players, LED screens changed templates and contents immediately whenever a different playlist was applied.
During this tournament, every referee even updated scores via a PDA. Whenever a tennis player scored, the referee updated the data just by a simple click on the PDA. The PDA transmitted the data immediately to the web server and, at the same time, broadcasted the updated information onto LED screens via SMP-WEB4 digital signage players.
This tournament fully utilized digital technologies to record and broadcast sports information, largely reducing paper consumption and increasing the efficiency of information transmission.
CAYIN digital signage products, integrated with the Heimavista’s sports game system, is the best digital signage solution for conveying multimedia and timely information of all sport games.

De La Salle University-Manila, the best private university in the Philippines, has adopted CAYIN digital signage solutions to implement the “Green Screen” project. Ten SMP-WEBPLUS players are installed in selected strategic locations to broadcast up-to-date information, provided by both the school and students. The dynamic digital signage system has become the center of school communication.
The “Green Screen” project in De La Salle University aims to build an effective communication platform by broadcasting up-to-date information to increase overall awareness of campus news and special announcements among students, faculty and staff. The school names the project "Green Screen" because green is the university's official school color. It also represents its endeavors to reduce printed materials.
The project was made possible through the collaboration of Office of Sports Development and the Marketing Communications Office of the university. CAYIN digital signage players and Samsung displays were installed through the joint effort of Mediacast Digital Group, a CAYIN certified reseller, and Chronicles Electronics, a Samsung distributor in the Philippines.
Ten CAYIN SMP-WEBPLUS digital signage players were used to control Samsung 40” LCD screens. The system was installed in selected strategic locations spread throughout different college buildings, cafeteria, sports complex and study halls, where students, faculty and staff can see them frequently.
“There are many advantages of installing CAYIN digital signage players. These web-based players are much more flexible and have more unique features, compared to using an ordinary PC,” said Mr. Eric Tang, General Manager of Mediacast Digital Group. “Central scheduling and remote management enable the school to easily control ten players in different locations through the use of CAYIN CMS server and SuperMonitor software.”
CAYIN CMS-MINI server is responsible to centrally manage the contents and playlists of all SMP media players. In addition, SuperMonitor assists administrators in monitoring functioning status and sends out alert email whenever an abnormal situation arises.
The “Green Screen” project was launched successfully and continues to convey more innovative content. Content are split into sections dedicated to sports, culture, announcements, and updates from various student organizations and the Student Council. All students are invited to submit pictures, videos, poetry, music, and even movie reviews. The digital signage system has become the center of school communication.
Moreover, the university is also planning to look for sponsorships in the form of advocacies that can promote their school values and proceeds will go directly to their scholarship fund.

CAYIN Technology in Brief
CAYIN Technology offers a complete portfolio of digital signage solutions including media players, servers, and software which are applicable to various industries, such as education, retail, hospitality, corporate, financial, and public institutions. CAYIN is dedicated to being a reliable partner to its clients worldwide, and has successfully set up various application references globally. In order to best facilitate the deployment of CAYIN products, the company also provides tailored services to satisfy the ascending market demand for almost limitless applications.
Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall has adopted CAYIN digital signage solutions as the major public information system at most strategic spots. CAYIN's system empowers more than 50 LCD screens, including eight sets of multiple screen video walls, and provides the most effective marketing platform for all event organizers.
CAYIN's digital signage solution won customer confidence at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2008 when the exhibition unprecedentedly expanded its scale to the newly opened Nangang Exhibition Hall. To bridge the communication among different exhibition halls, CAYIN Technology sponsored digital signage players at main entrances and some selected strategic areas.
CAYIN's digital signage system even broadcasted the whole opening ceremony live, including the President’s speech, via Internet and satellite. The exhibition hall manager was impressed by the high quality and stability of CAYIN's digital signage solutions and decided to proceed to full deployment of the digital public information system.
The manager of Nangang Exhibition Hall aims to provide the most up-to-date facilities for all event organizers to present attractive images and convey timely information to attendees. Reducing operation costs and increasing efficiency at work are also two main objectives of this project.
Thirty-six CAYIN digital signage players are used to control more than 50 LCD displays (32", 42", 47", 52', and 65") located at the entrances, outside meeting rooms, and along the main passageways.
The most unique part in this project is the video walls at six entrances. To completely meet the diversified sizes of six entrances, the installer uses both portrait and landscape LCD screens. They are incorporated with a mix of CAYIN SMP-WEBDUO and SMP-WEBPLUS digital signage players, to compose different combinations, such as 1x3, 1x5, 1x6, and 1x9 video walls.
"In this project, one SMP-WEBDUO media player, cooperated with a DVI repeater, is used to outstretch multimedia contents across maximum 1x8 LCD screens," said Mr. Ravel Chi, Vice President of CAYIN Technology. "Its powerful capabilities to support dual displays and to define screen resolutions are two key elements that contribute to the successful deployment."
Nangang Exhibition Hall also adopts CAYIN xPost to schedule and manage meeting room digital signage. Each meeting room is equipped with one 32" LCD screen outside the room right beside the door. Administrators can easily arrange all events in xPost's meeting room booking system, and screens outside meeting rooms will show the right event information automatically based on pre-configured schedules.
Nangang Exhibition Halls has hosted more than 20 international exhibitions since this project was completed in June, 2009. Both event organizers and exhibition hall managers are satisfied with the performance of the new public information system.
All content is provided by event organizers to promote exhibitors' new products and/or activities, such as seminars, press conferences, training courses, etc. Broadcasting live opening ceremonies and onsite activities live is also a great option to get attendees involved.
CAYIN SMP-WEB series players support most popular multimedia codec and file formats, such as HTML web pages, Flash animations, image slide shows, and high-quality videos, providing event organizers with a variety of choices.
Management also becomes easier. Administrators of the digital signage system can manage all media players via network from their offices on the 5th floor. Content and playlists can be controlled centrally by a CMS-Performance server, located in the control room.
In case an abnormal situation arises, administrators can monitor the functioning status of the digital signage network via SuperMonitor and start troubleshooting immediately. They can also help to generate playback reports for even organizers to evaluate the performance.

Taipei, Taiwan - October 15, 2009
National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, one of the most well-known sightseeing spots and multifunctional centers in Taipei, has replaced most of the traditional bulletin boards with CAYIN Technology’s digital signage solutions to improve communication efficiency with visitors and activity participates.
11 CAYIN’s SMP-WEB media players (SMP-WEBPLUS & SMP-WEBPLUS-T) together with 42-inch LCD screens are included in this deployment. SMP-WEBPLUS media players are installed at audiovisual rooms, auditoriums, and lecture halls showing contents of ongoing or future events’ details, current time, weather, meeting/activity schedule, and a brief introduction of the Memorial Hall either by video or by ticker texts.
An interactive public information system is also one of the major enhancements for Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. SMP-WEBPLUS-T, the touch screen enabled digital signage player, is arranged in the lobby to increase interactivities. Visitors can find their destination within just a few seconds by a simple click on the touch screen showing floor plans and guiding information.
SMP-WEB series players possess great flexibility for multimedia presentations and can be easily integrated with various applications. To present content richness, administrators of Memorial Hall dedicatedly designed the webpage layout aiming to present more unique and vivid multimedia images. xPost, the specially designed application software for hotels and convention centers, can also be applied with SMP-WEB series players to display weather information, meeting schedule, wayfinding information, and promotional messages.
To manage all media players effectively and simultaneously, the Memorial Hall also purchased one CMS-Mini, the content management server. Data can be updated and synchronized to all players at one time through central scheduling from the server. Furthermore, SuperMonitor, the advanced management software, collaborates with CMS server to monitor the live status of all players ensuring steady operation.
